FORT WORTH CITY HALL & COUNCIL CHAMBERS
City of Fort Worth, Texas
Quick Stats:
Project Type: Civic Consolidation & Modernization
Timeline: Multi-year
Scope: 15 legacy buildings, full acquisition and renovation of new City Hall
Overview
The City of Fort Worth undertook a transformative initiative to consolidate 15 outdated facilities into a new, future-ready City Hall. Athenian Group served as the lead program and project management partner, overseeing operational strategy, stakeholder engagement, architectural coordination, and phased relocation. This project redefined how city departments operate and serve the public.
Challenge
City services were spread across 15 legacy buildings, resulting in inefficiencies, fragmented workflows, and limited public access. The city needed a space solution that aligned with future growth, operational efficiency, and civic pride.
AG Approach
Athenian Group began with an operational analysis and space stacking process. We guided site selection, coordinated architectural firms, developed a space utilization strategy, and created a roadmap for phased implementation. We oversaw construction, led the transformation of the new council chambers, and managed the move-in process to minimize disruption.
Outcome
Fort Worth now has a centralized City Hall that enhances public access, improves interdepartmental collaboration, and positions the city for long-term growth. AG’s leadership ensured smooth delivery from planning through ribbon cutting.
